Design Guide
Design Advice
- Large Cross-Sections: Solid areas generate high suction forces during the peel process, leading to delamination. Hollow out large parts and include drainage holes to relieve pressure and resin entrapment.
- Small Cavities & Channels: Holes smaller than 0.5 mm may close due to “light bleed” (scattered UV light curing excess resin). Design internal channels slightly oversized to ensure they remain clear and functional.

What’s DLP 3D Printing?
DLP (Digital Light Processing) is a resin-based 3D printing technology that cures liquid photopolymer via whole-layer UV projection. Unlike SLA laser point-by-point scanning, DLP cures an entire layer at once for faster speed, smoother surface and finer micro-details. It is ideal for small, high-precision intricate parts, covering the detail weakness of FDM and low efficiency of standard SLA.
Advantages of DLP 3D Printing
Our DLP 3D printing service has many advantages over traditional methods:
- Excellent Surface Quality: Nearly invisible layer lines on printed parts, greatly reducing manual post-processing workload. Parts can be directly used for exhibition display and design verification.
- Outstanding Micro Detail Reproduction: Support printing 0.1mm ultra-thin wall and complex intricate textures, far better than FDM and ordinary SLA in fine detail performance.
- High Printing Accuracy: Stable dimensional tolerance up to ±0.05mm, meeting strict precision requirements for assembly and matching parts.
- Low Printing Cost for Small Parts: No extra laser loss, low material waste, more economical for small-size high-precision prototype orders.
DLP 3D Printing Applications
Our DLP 3D printing services offer a wide range of applications for different types of parts:
- High-detail visual prototype and marketing display samples
Jewelry wax pattern for lost wax investment casting - Customized dental models and medical auxiliary devices
- Micro precision mechanical components and thin-wall structural parts
- Transparent optical prototypes and fluid simulation models
